Restaurant Review (Puchong): LSY Pot At Bandar Puteri Puchong

What does LSY stand for? I have no idea. But what I DO know is that the claypot dishes are said to be good. Lucky me, the restaurant was merely a 5 minutes drive from where I live.

Waiting for our food

Accompanying me for dinner was my cousin and his friend. In case you're wondering why his finger is mosaic-ed? He was holding the iPhone but without realizing it, it was an international sign language for censored you.

Claypot Lou Shu Fan, RM12.80(Large)/RM6.50(Small)

Since there were three of us, we decided to go for the large portion. We were a little surprised that the lou shu fan was the soupy version instead of the typical dry and dark black/brown sauce.

Huge claypot, no?

We noticed that they don't serve it with some belacan, a shrimp paste with chilli pepper. Here is a picture of how the belacan would generally look like:

The lou shu fan was good! The soup was not too salty, fair amount of ingredients like prawns and fishcakes. Although it was flavorful, I'd still prefer to have it with some belacan.

We also had 2 side orders of tofu and lettuce. Nothing extraordinary but it was prepared perfectly and fresh.

Tofu(bean curd), I can't remember the price, about RM4?

Lettuce, RM8.90(large), RM4.90(small)

I was told that their signature dish is the Claypot Chicken Rice but I was too late to change my order. Ah well, another visit is a must.

Yes, you are right. The claypot low see fun is really very good and cook differen from others shops cooking. "Belacan" go with low see fun is really the best and a good new to you is, In LSY-pot, there is a Belacan is really very good but you have to ask for it is because many keep on asking after taken it and is really very very nice. Understand that, you have to ask for it is because is a very costly "Prawn Sampar". So, don't forget to ask for it and once you have it, You really love it. There Claypot chicken rice is really very very good and to me going round looking for claypot chicken rice throught out Malaysia, this is the best I had at LSY-Pot. Next time when you visit LSY-Pot again, order the claypot low see fun and don't forget the best Claypot Chicken Rice, is really very good and I will give them 99.9 marks.

I was there today with my family (19/02/2012) for lunch, is a real disappointment with their management and services.
Waited for more than half and hour patiently and notice 2 family complaining as other come later then us got the food serve.
I walk out of the restaurant with my family and the waiter still have the guts to ask me to pay for the 2 bottles of drink. I give her RM10 and walk off.
I would never go back there again as their management n services is really SUCK.
Not recommend anyone to eat there.

    Hi there,

Well, I guess either their management has changed or ignorant restaurant staffs.

Sorry if it was bad for you. I merely shared what I've ordered during my visit there.

If I do go back there, I'll take note if its the same :)

    Thanks!
