Try saying Momofuku Ssam three times fast and you may find your self tongue-twisted and speechless - and that’s pretty close to the way most people feel after dining at this wild East Village hotspot. We stopped in for a little tête-à-tête with chef/owner David Chang to learn about the menu at Momofuku and his recent two-star review in the New York Times.

Top notch ingredients like artisanal ham, and renegade combos like sea urchin and whipped tofu make this a one-of-a-kind dining experience. You almost have to see it (and taste it) to believe it. Chang gives us an exclusive interview about his madcap approach, his favorite foods, and the dishes at Momofuku that have earned him Frank Bruni’s adoration.
