Chef Kris Morningstar, formerly of Patina and Meson G, spoke with Shira Lazar to preview Blue Velvet’s unconventional spin on modern American favorites.
A 17-foot communal table and open fire pits on the restaurant’s rooftop garden add to the gather-round vibe at Blue Velvet. Just don’t expect to be roasting your own marshmallows. The lounge menu is served until 2 AM offering swank campfire snacks like blue cheese beignets and a warm crab dip with leeks. And, trust us, Dennis Hopper would approve.
