Local food movement and green revolution aside, it's the moments of seeing people connect to the land that I find mindblowing sometimes. It's also the passionate farmers, like Andy, who are the ones who show people the way and help to make changes in the way people view food.
As I picked peas armed with knee pads and a bucket, I was offered a cold beer by Andy. It was an India Pale Ale by DogFish Head Brewery located in Milford, Delaware. I picked, moved a few inches, ate some peas, moved a few more inches, took a swig of the hoppy and slightly bitter beer, and picked some more. There was a nice breeze, the Decemberists were playing from the radio in the barn, and all was right in the world for the time being. Sweet peas and beer; a pretty good combo (at least I think), but could it be a claim to fame? Only time will tell.

Hi Olithia:
Hope you get a chance to visit the Brewery while in Delaware. They put out a quality beverage. Great article.

Good that you quickly clarified that it wasn't the scottish tennis player although he may have more success on the land than on court.
