The third recipe I tested was “Linguine with Sausage and An Easy Egg Sauce.” Resembling Alfredo, the sauce was rich, smooth and delicious. The sharp taste of Parmigiano-Reggiano came through yet was a good complement to the sweet sausage. I used gluten-free linguine pasta as a substitute and I believe it worked well. We added a side salad of baby greens and cherry tomatoes sprinkled with olive oil and fresh cracked pepper. Add a glass of wine and you have yourself a simple, yet scrumptious meal.
I truly believe any couple would enjoy The Newlywed Cookbook: Fresh Ideas & Modern Recipes for Cooking with & For Each Other as part of their life together. Aside from recipes the couple can make together, Copeland offers chapters on “Gatherings” and “Escapes.” Not only is this book beautiful in presentation, it offers delightful new recipes that eventually become “our traditional recipes.” Two thumbs up!!
