Summer Fashions and A Beach Boys’ Concert for Charity

In conjunction with an online auction to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina, designer Jacquelyne Love will debut her spring 06 ready-to-wear and swim collection with a fashion show and concert featuring the Beach Boys on October 10, in Hollywood.

99% of all winning auction bids (less processing fees) will be donated to the American Red Cross. The auctions, which will be live October 10th through October 21, can be found at Charityfolks.com.

Some of the items being auctioned include: six customized pieces from the Jacquelyne Love Spring Collection, a chance to sing “Barbara Ann” onstage with the Beach Boys, a trip for two to Rio de Janeiro, and signed drumsticks by John Stamos.

Stamos will be sitting in as guest drummer at the concert as he has done off and on over the past fifteen years. The Beach Boys are currently in the midst of a world wide tour, promoting their soon to be Double Platinum CD, Sounds of Summer: The Very Best of the Beach Boys

No stranger to charity work, Love created her label, Shakti, in order to give jobs and resources to the community. Following that, the online auction charityfolks.com was created as another outlet for Love and her husband to help people in need.
