When I moved up to the land of the long gray cloud in the early '80s, I had no idea what was really happening in the local sports scene. I had heard of the Sonics and Seahawks but not much else.
The Seahawks went 12-4 in my first year and I was promptly hooked into my new hometown teams. The trials and tribulations of the Seattle fan are well documented but I will never quit on these teams.
I plan on covering everything under the sun (well the gray skies and rain more often) in the Pacific Northwest. From the Seahawks to the Sounders, the Storm to the Mariners without forgetting the lesser known local things like Ironman Cour d'Alene and the Seattle Marathon, I'll be sure to give every sporting event its fair shake.
