To be a Kansas City Chiefs fan is to know the agony and the ecstasy. I recall the ecstasy of the Chiefs' underdog Super Bowl IV victory in 1970 over the Minnesota Vikings. I suffered the agony of the bad Chiefs teams of the 1970s and all the near misses under coach Marty Schottenheimer in the 1980s and 90s. To be a Chiefs fan is to know what it is like to be at the top of the mountain and then to slide down it -- often tumbling and out of control -- most seasons.
My Chiefs Complaint brings a critical fan's perspective to coverage of the Kansas City Chiefs. I am not a "homer." I wanted former general manager Carl Peterson gone long ago. But like a true fan, I want my boys in red to win. Through wit, sarcasm, and, hopefully, some insight into the Chiefs, the media that covers the Chiefs, and Chiefs fans, My Chiefs Complaint will be the fans of both the Chiefs and the NFL's first stop after the game, the fantasy results, or the box score.

While "worst to first" in the NFL is possible, that hasn't been the case historically for the Kansas City Chiefs.
