Suss and Tuffy's Year In Review

Tuffy: In January, LSU beat Ohio State to become the first two-time BCS National Champion. Ohio State celebrated their umpteenth second-place finish in the Bowl Championship Series by getting their own NBC series last summer: "The Biggest Loser".

Suss: In February, the New York Giants shocked the 18-0 New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII. The replays showed the entire Patriots playbook exposed in a security glitch when playing a recording of the Tom Petty halftime show backwards.

Tuffy: In March, Brett Favre retired. On the third trade attempt, He rose again as a Jet. Then Natalie Wood cradled him in her arms as he threw his last interception.

Suss: In April, Mario Chalmers became a Kansas basketball legend when his 3-point shot against Memphis in the NCAA men's basketball championship not only tied the game at the end of regulation, but also eliminated the Detroit Tigers from playoff contention.

    Poor Charles. He does kind of resemble the Time Square Ball these days. I think he's too popular to get fired though, and too well liked by the press for it to be blown up too far.
