Their Wild Card game Sunday is against the San Diego Chargers, who ended the season with six consecutive victories — the best non-Patriots winning streak in the NFL. As has been said before, the Titans have a very good D-line. And as what doesn't even warrant in-depth discussion, the Chargers have a man who runs the football named LaDainian Tomlinson. Plus, this game is a rematch from Week 14, when the Chargers won in overtime 23-17. The game generated $25,000 in fines from both sides of the ball. (Pity shame that the game coincides with the GMAC Bowl.)
As crazy as it sounds, the Titans have the ability to go deep into the playoffs. A win over San Diego earns them a trip to play, yet again, those Indianapolis Colts. Sure, the 6-point victory last week was against the second string, but in their first duel of the season, Tennessee gave Indy everything they had before coming up short in a 22-20 loss.
All things considered, factoring in the "it shoulda been Cleveland playing San Diego" mantra, Jeff Fisher and the Titans defense seem to have a knack for avoiding any kind of publicity. Another narrow San Diego win may keep that attention away from the boys down in Nashville, even through next year if they can quietly win another 10 or 11 games.

If the Titans get past the Bolts they will no way play the Colts in the Divisional Round. Being the sixth seed automatically means being matched against the highest remaining seed, in this case New England. So the earliest the Titans could see those familiar Colts is in the AFC Champ game, assuming they take care of the Bolts and get some Divine intervention against the Pats.
We'll see how it shakes out. In any case
GO TITANS!

Oh yeah. Forgot about that.
Well, the silver lining in a Titans-Patriots matchup for Tennessee is that they haven't lost to them this year.
