Sports Predictions For 2006

The ball is going to drop soon, so I do not have much time to complete this post before 2006 is upon us.

Without further ado, here are my Top 15 sports predictions for 2006:

- An AFC team wins Super Bowl XL

- Terrell Owens does quite well in 2006, playing for an AFC team

- The Detroit Tigers have their first winning season since 1993, but miss the playoffs anyway

- Matt Millen is fired as President and CEO of the Detroit Lions

- The Detroit Pistons again face the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals, and this time they win handily

- The Detroit Red Wings make it to the Stanley Cup Finals, but lose to Ottawa

- NCAA Basketball Final Four: Washington, Florida, Duke, and Michigan State

- USC wins the National Championship by beating Texas in the Rose Bowl (in a surprisingly close game)

- Reggie Bush goes #1 in the NFL Draft

- The White Sox don't win their division

- The Miami Heat do not make it to the Eastern Conference Finals

- Lebron James is NBA MVP

- Steve Yzerman retires

- The Dallas Mavericks make it to the Western Conference Finals (and lose)

- The US makes it all the way to the World Cup semifinals before losing, but then loses in the match for third place

    Could be half-right, as long as he does quite well...

    - The Detroit Tigers have their first winning season since 1993, but miss the playoffs anyway

    At least half-right...
