RJ's NFL Picks - Week 13

I went 12-4 last week. That puts me at 107-69 for the season, which is an overall winning percentage of approximately 61%. (For a comparison, check out the "experts" over at ESPN.)

The following are my picks for the NFL's Week Thirteen:

Thursday, Nov. 30

Baltimore 9-2 at Cincinnati 6-5 - 8:00 p.m.

The Ravens have won five in a row. They haven't lost since Week Six. The Bengals have won two in a row. Both teams won shutout victories against division rivals last week. The Ravens have only allowed 147 points through 11 games, third best in the NFL (behind Chicago and New England). They are 4-1 on the road and 5-0 since Brian Billick took over coaching the offense. The Bengals are only 2-3 at home. Every bone in my body says pick the Ravens. But the bones in my head say otherwise.

CINCINNATI BY 3

Sunday, Dec. 3

Arizona 2-9 at St. Louis 5-6 - 1:00 p.m.

The Rams suck. But in the NFC, that means they are a potential Wild Card team!

SAINT LOUIS BY 10

Atlanta 5-6 at Washington 4-7 - 1:00 p.m.

Atlanta has lost four in a row. I give them the finger.

WASHINGTON BY 1

Detroit 2-9 at New England 8-3 - 1:00 p.m.

Mine is not to wonder why. Mine is just to do or die. Sigh...

DETROIT BY 7

Indianapolis 10-1 at Tennessee 4-7 - 1:00 p.m.

Peyton Manning offers Vince Young a more difficult test than the Wonderlic...

INDIANAPOLIS BY 15

Kansas City 7-4 at Cleveland 3-8 - 1:00 p.m.

The Browns are 1-5 at home. I mean, that isn't good. Also, they are the Cleveland Browns, which is bad no matter what. At what point does this team just pick up and move to the middle of Lake Erie?

KANSAS CITY BY 6

Minnesota 5-6 at Chicago 9-2 - 1:00 p.m.

This game will be entertaining for one reason: Trying to guess which quarter Brad Johnson suffers a season-ending injury!

i like seeing the picks up early. thank you RJ.

Baltimore 9-2 at Cincinnati 6-5... Why another thursday game? And what station is carrying it?? i want to be able to pick Cincinnati, but I just don't see them overcoming Baltimore.

Arizona 2-9 at St. Louis 5-6... St. Louis, but don't be surprised to see this become a notch in my loss column.

Atlanta 5-6 at Washington 4-7... I like the way RJ thinks on this one... Washington.

Detroit 2-9 at New England 8-3... Detroit by 7??? You crack me up. Usually you at least have the grace to say detroit by 1... I pick New England.

Indianapolis 10-1 at Tennessee 4-7... Indy.

Kansas City 7-4 at Cleveland 3-8... Kansas City

Minnesota 5-6 at Chicago 9-2... Chicago, despite a terrible loss last week.

New York Jets 6-5 at Green Bay 4-7... I have a lot more faith in Favre than New York. But I have no faith in whatever "talent" is surrounding Favre, so NYJ.

San Diego 9-2 at Buffalo 5-6... San Diego.

San Francisco 5-6 at New Orleans 7-4... This is going to come back to bite me, but San Fran.

Houston 3-8 at Oakland 2-9... let's just call this one a draw and dismiss both teams for the rest of the season. Yeah? No? Ok. Houston.

Jacksonville 6-5 at Miami 5-6... Miami.

Dallas 7-4 at N.Y. Giants 6-5... Dallas. No ifs, ands, ors, or buts. Well, other than the butts that Dallas kicks.

Tampa Bay 3-8 at Pittsburgh 4-7... Pittsburgh.

Seattle 7-4 at Denver 7-4... Denver.

Carolina 6-5 at Philadelphia 5-6... Carolina.

I like how you come up with your decisions, but one thing I want to mention is, how can you outright bash teams (ex. Cleveland) when I bet you don't even watch most of the games. Cleveland has 8 losses thus far, but aside for both games against the Bengals this season have played more like a real football team than most give credit to them for. You can't judge a team by stats on paper when their schedule was no walk in the park this year for a struggling team to find its identity. I say Cleveland wins this weekend in Cleveland because they have a very talented team and the fans need a win at home.

O man where do i began at? First of all rj you seem to know your football, our picks are about the same. But I really think vince will bring it to the colts. I feel if they stop live or letadi they will really have a chance in this game. I hope your right about the lions game, im a big time jets fan and i need the pats to lose along with the other afc playoff contenders like denver and kc. And yes i support you bashing teams like cleveland. Yeah they did beat the jets but we got screwed that game he was pushed out of bounds in the endzone.I was at that game in cleveland and i came home and kicked my dogg. The only thing cleveland rocks is a losing record.anyways. O yeah i also think the bucs will sneak one out in pittsburgh. Yeah they are away but the steelers are in shambles.if batch starts maybe a diffrent game but wonder boy ben will be in and i think hell be tampas mvp this week.Go jets

RJ's Week 14 NFL Picks have been written and submitted and are now queued up to be published. However, it might still be awhile before the article is edited and published and appears on the site, and there is a game to be played Thursday (tomorrow) night...

So, here is my pick for Thursday night's game:

    Thursday, Dec. 7

    Cleveland 4-8 at Pittsburgh 5-7 - 8:00 p.m.

Both teams won last week. The Steelers are 4-2 at home; the Browns are 2-3 on the road. For the season, the Steelers have scored 58 more points than the Browns and have given up 9 fewer.
