RJ's NFL Picks - Week Fourteen - Page 2

Part of: NFL Picks

RJ's Pick: Indianapolis by 21

Atlanta Falcons 8-4 at New Orleans Saints 6-6 @ 1:00 p.m. (Line: New Orleans by 3)

The NFL's #2 ground game (the Falcons) versus the league's #1 passing attack (the Saints). I expect a high-scoring affair.

RJ's Pick: Atlanta by 5

Philadelphia Eagles 6-5-1 at New York Giants 11-1 @ 1:00 p.m. (Line: New York Giants by 9)

Plaxico Burress, I have seen your future, and it's in federal law enforcement.

RJ's Pick: New York Giants by 4

Cleveland Browns 4-8 at Tennessee Titans 11-1 @ 1:00 p.m. (Line: Tennessee by 13.5)

How many wins do you suppose the Titans would have if Vince Young had started all season? I'll set the Over/Under at his original Wonderlic score.

RJ's Pick: Tennessee by 20

Miami Dolphins 7-5 at Buffalo Bills 6-6 (actually, in Toronto) @ 4:05 p.m. (Line: Buffalo by 1)

It's a fine time to be a football fan in Canada. Less than two weeks ago, the Calgary Stampeders defeated the Montreal Alouettes (which I believe is French for "chokers") 22-14 in the 96th Grey Cup, which is kinda like the Canadian Football League's version of the Super Bowl, except all the beer commercials are for Molson. This week, two NFL teams head north of the border to play in the frozen tundra of ... a dome stadium. THIS JUST IN: Ted Rogers is dead. No word yet on whether angry Bills fans had anything to do with his passing.

RJ's Pick: Miami by 6

Kansas City Chiefs 2-10 at Denver Broncos 7-5 @ 4:05 p.m. (Line: Denver by 9)

The Chiefs have the worst defense in the AFC. The Broncos have the #2 offense in the league, in term of total yards per game. Denver should be able to put at least 40 on the scoreboard in this one.

RJ's Pick: Broncos by 15

New York Jets 8-4 at San Francisco 49ers 4-8 @ 4:05 p.m. (Line: New York Jets by 4)

Bal, Chi, Det, GB, Ind, NO, Phi, Ten, Mia, Den, Ari, Pit, NE, Car, SF, Min.

I agree. Minnesota is Detroit's best chance. Winless teams always find ways to win somewhere, somehow. NO may be another one. But I'm still not picking them.

As for the CFL, yeah the Als are 1-5 in Grey Cup play since 1996. They've been the most successful regular season by far with a .643 winning percentage but haven't been able to beat Western teams in the big one.

Calgary was simply the better team.

It was cool to see the MNF crew show off their Als jersey's.
