LIONS BY 3
Cleveland 0-3 at Oakland 0-2 - 4:15 p.m.
This is the "pooper-scooper" game of the week. In other words, both teams are awful. However, Cleveland put up a good fight last week against a good Baltimore team. Oakland had the week off (from losing).
BROWNS BY 5
Jacksonville 2-1 at Washington 1-2 - 4:15 p.m.
The Jags are for real. I fully expect Jacksonville's defense to re-injure Clinton Portis's shoulder in this one.
JACKSONVILLE BY 4
New England 2-1 at Cincinnati 3-0 - 4:15 p.m.
This is a crucial test for Patriots QB Tom Brady. I believe he will pass it, playing against an unimpressive Bengals defense.
NEW ENGLAND BY 6
Seattle 3-0 at Chicago 3-0 - 8:15 p.m.
This is the game of the week. But the Bears are at home, have a better defense, and Seattle RB Shaun Alexander is out with injury.
BEARS BY 5
Monday, Oct. 2
Green Bay 1-2 at Philadelphia 2-1 - 8:30 p.m.
Two teams with potent passing games, and weak defenses. But Philly is simply better on both sides of the ball.
EAGLES BY 11
[ Bye week teams: Denver 2-1, N.Y. Giants 1-2, Pittsburgh 1-2, Tampa Bay 0-3 ]
**Because I lack a crystal ball, this is actually a lie.

Sorry Dominick, the Eagles are not one of the by teams.
4 - Dominick
See now you tell me Suss....I was worried for a minute
5 - nate dogg 33
Here are my picks
1. Atlanta by 14 (It's Vick time).

3. Indy by 21 (Peyton throws 5 or 6 td's)
4. Miami by 6 (Culpepper, do your thing).

6. San Diego by 10 (L. Tomlinson= 200 all purpose yds.).
7. Kansas City by 12 (L. Johnson breaks lose).
8. Cleveland by 12 (they may be 0-3, but they are barely getting beat by undefeated teams).
9. Jacksonville by at least 21 (DUH!!!)
10. Cincy by 12 (Palmer will be on fire).
11. Seattle by 7 (Alexander might be hurt, but not the passing team).

You missed 2 games...
7 - MJ
RJ enjoy your column and comments. With regards to being ahead of Joe Theisman in correct picks -unfortunately for you, Joe has made 3 less picks than you, since he doesn't pick any Monday nights, so you unfortundtaely do NOT have these bragging rights!!!
8 - nate dogg 33
13. Buffalo by 7 (if it does not rain)
14. St. Louis by 10 (DEFENSE)
9 - Donnie Marler
I think you're off the mark on four of them! Then again, I have no idea what I'm talking about since I don't follow it like I used to. Grandkid watches Spongebob 24-7. Papa's SOL.
10 - The Theory
Arizona 1-2 at Atlanta 2-1... I don't like Atlanta, but I don't see them losing a game against a mediocre team at home. Especially after a big loss Monday night.
Dallas 1-1 at Tennessee 0-3... Dallas.
Indianapolis 3-0 at N.Y. Jets 2-1... Indy.
Miami 1-2 at Houston 0-3... Miami
Minnesota 2-1 at Buffalo 1-2... Minnesota.
New Orleans 3-0 at Carolina 1-2... Carolina
San Diego 2-0 at Baltimore 3-0... I don't like Baltimore and they haven't convinced me they can win. San Diego.
San Francisco 1-2 at Kansas City 0-2... I was very impressed with what San Francisco did last week, despite the loss. I love their quarterback, and i love Michael Robinson. They will be better this year than people expected. They will also improve week as the year goes on. San Fran.
Detroit 0-3 at St. Louis 2-1... St. Louis
Cleveland 0-3 at Oakland 0-2... Oh, I don't know. Pick your poison. Either team is as likely to lose. My dad is from Cleveland, so I'll go with the Browns.
Jacksonville 2-1 at Washington 1-2... Jacksonville
New England 2-1 at Cincinnati 3-0... Cincinnati
Seattle 3-0 at Chicago 3-0... Last I heard, Alexandar got healed by the power of prayer. Whether a doctor upholds that I don't know, but we may see him on the field after all. But I still pick Chicago because I am in love with them.
Green Bay 1-2 at Philadelphia 2-1... Philadelphia... because they are obviously better.
11 - CallmeMaddy
Indy by 24? I don't think it'll be that big of a blow-out. I am so happy because next week I have tickets to the Steeler/San Diego game. Here we go Steelers!
