RJ's NFL Picks, 2011 Edition: Week Nine

Part of: NFL Picks

I went 9-4 last week straight-up, and 6-6-1 against the spread. For the season, that puts me at 76-40 straight-up, and 57-54-5 against the spread. For a comparison, check out the "experts" over at ESPN.

Here are my picks for the NFL's games for week nine:

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 6

Miami 0-7 at Kansas City 4-3 1:00 PM [Line: Kansas City by 4]

The Dolphins blew a 4th quarter lead last week against the Giants to remain winless. The Chiefs beat the Chargers in overtime last week for their fourth win in a row.

-RJ's Pick: Kansas City by 10

Atlanta 4-3 at Indianapolis 0-8 1:00 PM [Line: Atlanta by 7]

The Falcons have won two straight. The winless Colts have a -131 point differential, worst in the NFL.

-RJ's Pick: Atlanta by 14

Tampa Bay 4-3 at New Orleans 5-3 1:00 PM [Line: New Orleans by 9]

The Buccaneers have scored just 131 points this season, second fewest in the league among teams with a winning record. The Saints have scored 260 points so far this season, by far the most in the NFL.

-RJ's Pick: New Orleans by 3

New York Jets 4-3 at Buffalo 5-2 1:00 PM [Line: Buffalo by 1.5]

The Bills are undefeated at home. The Jets are 0-3 on the road.

-RJ's Pick: Buffalo by 6

Seattle 2-5 at Dallas 3-4 1:00 PM [Line: Dallas by 11.5]

The Seahawks have the second worst offense in the league in terms of yards per game. Cowboys QB Tony Romo has an 89.7 passer rating, which means he is on pace to have the worst season of his professional career.

-RJ's Pick: Dallas by 4

Cleveland 3-4 at Houston 5-3 1:00 PM [Line: Houston by 10.5]

The Browns have scored just 11 touchdowns this season. The Texans have scored the second most points in the AFC.

-RJ's Pick: Houston by 17

San Francisco 6-1 at Washington 3-4 1:00 PM [Line: San Francisco by 3.5]

The 49ers have won five in a row. The Redskins have dropped three straight.

-RJ's Pick: San Francisco by 8

Note to readers: These random automatic "skimlinks" that got placed and hyperlinked on Tim Tebow and Joe Flacco's names (and maybe others) are out of Blogcritics' control and not the product of the author, so please excuse those useless links.

I'm 77-39 on the season, and this week picked the same as you (but with perhaps a bit less humor).

The Saints debacle last week cost me my shot at $4500 in a Survivor pool.

And, in the de facto BCS Championship game, I like Alabama.

You aren't giving Dallas too many points over Seattle. The official spread is much more generous. Is this the belief that Seattle will play better this weekend or that Romo will play poorly?

Any update on the thousands killed in Syria or are you unable to find a way to blame Obama?

I'm just waiting for him to find a way to blame Obama for the Colts' recent form.
