Delaware @ Navy
The University of Delaware Fighting Blue Hens flock into Annapolis to take on the Midshipmen this Saturday in what is sure to be a high scoring affair. Look for a fast and furious shootout as these high-powered offense will do there best to keep up with each other. Neither team is particularly strong on defense and the first offense to blink is going home the loser.
North Carolina Central vs. Western Kentucky
While the Hilltoppers are riding high their blowout victory last weekend, they'll have their work cut out for them when the Eagles of NCCU come to town. NCCU has been playing tough, hardcore defense and will look to shut down the WKU offense. In a tight match, North Carolina Central takes this one.
Central Michigan's team has been the tale of two schedules – conference and non-conference. The Chippewas, the league champs from a year ago, are undefeated in the Mid-American Conference, and are generally considered the best team. Outside the MAC, it's been a different story. Not only are the Chippewas 1-4 in non-conference games, but some contests haven't even been close, such as last week's 70-14 drubbing by Clemson.
This week, Central Michigan tangles with Kent State, a team that has lost consecutive games. One to the No. 1 team in the country (Ohio State), and one to a mediocre (and I'm a graduate) Bowling Green squad.
KSU is 1-3 in the league and 3-5 overall. The primary problem in recent games has been the defense. The Golden Flashes can score points, but they are giving up more than 28 a game. And now they face the Chippewas, and quarterback Dan LeFevour, who is averaging 244 passing yards a game. Bottom line? Don't expect this one to be close.
Meanwhile, Buffalo (BUFFALO!) has a chance to become the sole holders of first place in the MAC East. With Miami playing out-of-conference Vanderbilt, the Bulls can put themselves in a good spot by beating Akron. This is not as easy as it might seem.
The Zips gave Western Michigan trouble losing a controversial game, 39-38. They also lost to a tough Temple team by four points. Perhaps the most impressive player on Akron's team is linebacker Brion Stokes, who has a team-leading 52 tackles, 10 for a loss, and four sacks.

Hi, Josh, your fan club checking in...
Wow, I had forgotten about the intense hatred Bama has toward Phil. Thanks for reminding me, lol. Funny how just a couple of weeks ago the Tenn/SC tilt was expected to be possibly the one that decided the East. But UT gets their 3rd blowout (when they lose, they lose big) and Spurrier actually loses to Vandy. I think you'll get your wish in this game, however.
Ga/Fla...oh yeah, Florida all the way.
And the others:
Auburn/Ole Miss: despite the loss last week, the War Eagles have played much better since dropping one at home vs. Moo State in week 3 and will probably win out from here. So of course they'll take this one against a coach who is in a race with Bill Callaghan to the head of the unemployment line.
MSU/KY: Moo State in an upset! Yeah, dream on.
