The big game this week is big only because of the tradition and the intensity of the rivalry, not because either team is worth half a damn. It's Iron Bowl week, and Alabama can make up (partially) for two unfathomable losses by ending their five-game losing streak against the Auburn Tigers.
Don't bet on it.
Alabama has lost at Mississippi State and at home to Louisiana-Monroe. There is no reason to think there is any magic left in that team, having used their last ounce of it in demolishing Tennessee. Auburn, meanwhile, hasn't been great and is coming off a 25-point loss to surging Georgia but they still look like the hotter team just because Alabama looks so pathetic.
The other big game in the SEC is Tennessee and Kentucky. If Tennessee wins, they win the SEC East and will play SEC West Champion and prohibitive National Champion favorite LSU. Kentucky had a real nice run earlier in the season but has since cooled off. They are good enough to knock UT off and the Vols have been as inconsistent as everyone else in the conference. Should Kentucky prevail and Tennessee falter, Georgia plays LSU in the conference championship game.
Troy all but locked up the conference with a 45-7 win on Tuesday night against Middle Tennessee State, putting them at 8-3 overall, 6-0 in the conference.
Florida Atlantic should continue to keep their slim conference title hopes alive against in-state rival 0-10 Florida International. They need to not look ahead to next week and take care of FIU for next week's game against Troy to matter.
Another in-state rivalry pits Monroe against Lafayette in the Battle for Louisiana (and a possible bump up to third place for Monroe if they win the game). Arkansas State and North Texas will round out the schedule this weekend by doing their best to not get embarrased by Southern Miss and Western Kentucky, respectively. DOn't count on either one succeeding.
Winners: Southern Miss, W. Kentucky, LA Monroe, Florida Atlantic

As the WAC winds down, we find ourselves with the WAC Game of the
Year, a match-up between the conference's two most dominant teams with
everything on the line.
Friday, November 23
#17 Boise State @ #14 Hawaii (9:00 p.m. Eastern)
This is the big one. The winner here gets the WAC crown, and a win by Hawaii will be another positive mark on their BCS resume. Boise State, meanwhile, is trying to recapture their spot on top of the WAC after an early season loss to Washington damaged their BCS bowl bid possibilities.

To: Big 12 Athletic Conference:
The Big 12 athletic conference should add men's soccer as a sport. Soccer has increased in popularity and boys should have the dream of playing for their favorite Big Twelve team.
