The Portland Trail Blazers welcomed back center Greg Oden this week after a foot injury kept him out of action since the first game of the season. The Blazers have been impressed with his last two games, where he scored double digits, but are miffed by him committing 5 fouls in 24 minutes. Nonetheless, if Oden continues to show no residual pain in his foot, the Blazers will consider removing his Life Alert bracelet.
The NHL is monitoring some suspicious All-Star Game online voting early returns as several members of the Montreal Canadiens lead all positions by well over 100,000 votes ahead of any other team's superstars. Curiously still, among coaches, the top vote getter by 200,000 is Rick Astley.
LeBron James admitted in an interview last week that among the songs on his iPod are some by Barry Manilow. Furthermore, his Cleveland Cavaliers teammates do not exactly have a very strong music library, but if anyone does possess quality songs, they were probably given to them by James in iTunes transition.
The Michigan Wolverines' 21-14 loss to Northwestern brings the U of M's record to 3-8, the first time in the school's 129-year history that the team lost eight games in a season. Wolverines fans are stunned, puzzled, and left without an answer to the question on everyone's mind: how did they manage to win three games?
The Colorado Rockies have traded star outfielder Matt Holliday to the Oakland A's in exchange for closer Huston Street, outfielder Carlos Gonzalez, and a player to be overvalued later.

Hey now, Oden hasn't been in any Depends commercials, so he's not THAT old. (But if he were, I might wonder about Kevin Pritchard's long-term plans for the team.)

i was at the pacers game last night and i thought ty game.why do we put up with this,the money we pay these guys to play should be plenty for them to carry a game to the end.
