BC Sports Treehouse Fort Headlines For September 21

The following is a partial transcript of the September 21, 2008 episode of the BC Sports Treehouse Fort, recorded live from BlogWorld Expo 2008 in Las Vegas.

Suss: Another big weekend in college football took place yesterday, despite ESPN not giving it an alliterative nickname like Selection Saturday, Showdown Saturday, or Separation Saturday. In response, ESPN has mandated that any subsequent reference to Saturday be changed to Tim Tebow.

Tuffy: Big Bulldog winners on Saturday included Georgia and Fresno State. Big Bulldog losers included Mississippi State and the wrestler British Bulldog, who is still dead.

Suss: Officials seized a laptop from Notre Dame coaches in the press box during their loss to Michigan State yesterday. In other news, the Golden Fang Guild in World of Warcraft is experiencing an indefinite delay from their latest quest since their Level 6 dwarven overrated coach has just been standing in the middle of the cave for 30 hours and counting.

Tuffy: Rumors persist that efforts are afoot to arrange for the National League MVP to be split between two midseason AL acquisitions, the Brewers' CC Sabathia and the Dodgers' Manny Ramirez. Most insiders doubt the veracity of the rumor, though, as CC can never consume just half of anything.

Suss: Instant replay finally had its first reversal of a home run call Friday night. Carlos Peña's double in the fourth inning against Minnesota was changed to a three-run home run. An appeal was swiftly filed by Tony Tarasco.

Tuffy: The United States leads the Ryder Cup 9-7 going into Sunday's action. More importantly, the United States leads Europe 5,535 to 550 in Global Thermonuclear War.

Suss: Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo will be featured on ESPN Deportes' upcoming coverage of Hispanic Heritage Month. Romo was selected so they could repackage the feature for next year's tribute to Black History Month.
