BC Sports Treehouse Fort Headlines For September 14

Part of: Treehouse Fort Headlines

The following is a partial transcript of the Sunday, September 14, 2008 episode of the BC Sports Treehouse Fort.

Last night Ohio State fell to top ranked USC 35-3 in the most anticipated game of the year so far. By the second half for the ticketholders it was the most anticipated stadium exit of the year.

Notre Dame beat Michigan 35-17 in a game where Irish head coach Charlie Weis tore his ACL and MCL after a Notre Dame defender was pushed and flew into his leg. He is probable for next week's game against Michigan State. The Wolverines' season is listed as questionable.

Auburn beat Mississippi State 3-2. No, this wasn't a field goal and a safety, but rather the final vote of the city council on who they liked better.

A Massachusetts man got a hole in one on the final hole of his round, a par 4, using a ball he found in the woods on the previous hole. In a related story Shooter McGavin was last seen foraging for Top Flites in the trees outside the 7th hole.

Tennis star Ana Ivanovic is reportedly looking for a lifetime endorsement deal worth $100 million. Robert Redford could not be reached for comment.

Francisco Rodriguez broke the all-time single season save record as the Angels topped the Mariners 5-2 last night for his 58th save. Bobby Thigpen was last seen being consoled by the Roger Maris family.

And finally, Michael Phelps made his comic debut last night on Saturday Night Live. True to form, the second half of the show was instead starred by Jason Lesak.
