But there is the other side of the story. Woody Johnson doesn't seem to care too much about the team or its fans. Shouldn't Johnson want to field the best team possible? Isn't there something in that family vault that could be pulled out, dusted off, and spent to keep Revis happy and get him out there on the field, moving the team closer to Ryan's bold promise of a Vince Lombardi Trophy?

Forgive me, but as I think about this situation, images of the iconic MTV idiots Beavis and Butthead keep dancing in my head. In the end, I see this inability to come to terms in contract negotiations as the fault of both parties. Come on Revis, share your remote control, and Woody, don't be such a butthead. Sit down, watch a little ESPN together, have some popcorn, and then get the job done.

This whole Revis situation will probably affect the whole AFC East playoff picture. So if he sits out 2010-2011, that benefits the Pats, and also Miami and Buffalo as they rebuild. (I'll have more when if finish my picks soon)
But speaking of Beavis & Butthead, that show is coming back on to MTV soon. Hooray!

Hmmmm.....Remember when great teams could still win without their marquee players? Team was more important than individual? Am I out in left field here?
Does the NFL have too many teams now? Darn, when I was a kid, I could name all the starters for the Green Bay Packers, Baltimore Colts, and the Dallas Cowboys.
Anyway, the Jets won the Superbowl over the Colts and Unitas was hurt -- he did play some. But I don't think the Colts could have won that day even with Unitas at 100%!
It just doesn't seem right that one cornerback could have so much impact on the playoffs....

Thanks Charlie and Chip!
You know, it shouldn;t be this way, Chip, but I think that without Revis one has to question the Jets' D and, I think it does impact the team and the division the way Charlie mentioned.
It shouldn't be that way, but sadly it is.
