Shopping is a national obsession in the US. Even though the economic downturn has reduced the retail sales indicators for the last few quarters, shopping both in retail stores and online continues to be a present force for consumers. Some of the most popular things that draw shoppers are weddings, womens clothing, and hair and beauty supplies. Items such as wedding favors and gemstone rings are heavy seasonal items sought after during the summer months.

Whether shoppers are using discount driven super stores like Wal-mart or Target, Shopping malls or retail centers or outlet shopping centers; consumers want shopping options. The advent of Amazon, Overstock.com and E-bay have forever altered the definition of shopping, creating a unique ability for shoppers to do price comparison shopping, find sales, and research product specifications for practically any item they may want to buy.

Blogs about shopping abound on the Internet. Outblush.com offers a shopping blog that combines trends and fashion savvy advice for girls who love to shop.

When you are shopping in a clothing store, lots of times someone who works in the store will come up to you and tell you things like “Yeah, that shirt would look great on you” or “Those pants are perfect for you.” They do this because it helps them sell more clothes. You’d think other businesses would adopt this method… like the grocery store.

You’d go down the aisle and pick up a can of corn and someone would come up to you… “Ohh your gonna love the taste of that corn! That corn is perfect for you! …If you don’t like this type of corn, I have other corn in the back that I can show you.”

I think I want to be a comedian.
