With some games you can tell from the very title what you’re in for. Oh, I don’t mean just sports games, athough, you should obviously know what you’re getting into with something like NBA 10. I actually mean something more like Missile Command or Text Twist or House of the Dead. With those titles, even if you don’t know the specific mechanics of the game before you sit down, you do have a rough outline of what the game is going to contain.
Not all games, however, are like that. Take the upcoming The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom for example. Okay, you may know that the character has misadventures, but from the title you’d have no idea that the game looks an awfully lot like a silent movie and that Winterbottom travels through time in order to steal pies. And, if you did know all that from the title, wow, you’re pretty impressive.
Today we have for you a couple of screenshots of the game, which certainly has a unique – and pretty great – look to it.
The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom is due out on XBLA February 17, and we’ll certainly be reviewing it here at Blogcritics Gaming.
