Get ready for a whole new kind of fantasy football.

Screenshots: Blood Bowl

So you think you know what fantasy football is, do you?  We respectfully submit that perhaps you don't.  You like to think of fantasy football as an online game where you can choose the best people from a team, combine them with players from other teams, and then live vicariously through them every Sunday and Monday (and some Thursdays and Saturdays too).  We, however, like to think of fantasy football as more of an orc-human-troll-goblin battle with lots and lots of blood.  Our sort of fantasy football is something the folks at SouthPeak and Games Workshop call Blood Bowl.

Blood Bowl has been around in various forms for years, but this new version, coming to Xbox 360 amongst other platforms, looks awfully swell, and by swell we mean full of carnage and weirdness.  But, don't take our word for it, check out some screenshots.

Blood Bowl is due out on Xbox 360 on January 26.
