The company Synchronica has announced a new service called Mobile Manager designed to work Windows Mobile-based handsets, which can help locate lost or stolen mobile phones. The U.K.-based company designed the service to help victims of theft relocate their property and strike back at attackers. The service can be used to remotely cause the handset to emit an annoyingly high-pitch wail. The service can also remotely lock onto phones and wipe data from the smart phones, which can carry information such as computer files.
Rancid frontman Tim Armstrong has announced the release of his debut solo album for free over the Internet. A Poet’s Life will be available as mp3s starting on October 7th on Epitaph’s website. The first track to be made available is called “Hold On”. No long term plan of release dates has been made available.
