Twittorati.com — a hybrid name for a hybrid era — launched today, tracking the Twitter tweets by the editors/writers of the Top 100 blogs, as adjudicated by Technorati's magical algorithms. In addition, the site grabs the links within the top bloggers' tweets and finds blog posts using those same links, providing an interesting panoramic view of how the twittersphere and blogosphere intersect.
For example, at the moment, the two articles with the most tweet links from the Top 100 blogs are Google Blog's "Introducing Google Chrome OS" post, with eight tweets and a whopping 852 blog posts linking to it; and TechCrunch's "Twittorati Will Show You How Awesomely Fascinating Bloggers’ Lives Are (Or Not)," with eight tweets but only eight blog posts linking to it thus far.
Site visitors may also filter results by Technorati and Twitter tags, see photos tweeted by the top bloggers, or just scan the tweet stream by member bloggers in real time, unpolluted by the blurts of the hoi polloi. Writer pages display each tweeter’s blogs and Twitter information, and Technorati Authority.
The exclusive sponsor of the new site’s launch is lux automaker Infiniti. “We are extremely excited to be Technorati’s exclusive partner for the launch of Twittorati... The site will be adding a number of new features down the road, including expanding the blogger base out from the Top 100 blogs.

Thanks to the internet, it is amazing how we choose to communicate with each other continues to rapidly evolve. "Twittering" certainly has become an interesting phenomenon that in some ways seems to be a modern day version of the telegraph. "Having lunch at 12. Stop. Meet me at Becks. Stop." Unlike the telegraph, however, there is no "Stop," thus what we now have is a constant whir of messages generated by our need to stay informed and in touch. Almost makes you wonder what the next evolution will be. . .

That is pretty amazing. I am a baby boomer blogger who didn't know anything about how it all worked when I started. Now I tweet and twitter and link and comment and write, write, write and just love it. It will take me a few minutes to wrap my head around this one though. I'm with Joanne.
