A friend of mine is on tour for next month or two with Victor Wooten. Anthony is Victor's primary bass tech and backup bassist, and he's been touring with Victor for the last year or two.
A few tours ago, Anthony started keeping a tour diary of his life on the road. It's an interesting glimpse into the lifestyle. Most people think that being in a band is glamorous: booze, babes and bawdy parties. Reading Anthony's diary is a good way to start to understand what being on tour is actually like. It's also as close as I'll probably ever get to being on the road.
