Those Unimaginative Muslim Terrorists

First drooling Muslim maniacs cut the head off of Daniel Pearl. Then they cut the head off of Nick Berg. Then they cut the head off of Paul Johnson. (Bet you'd forgotten his name already!). Then they cut the head off of Kim Sun-il. (Bet you didn't even know his name...)

So. I see a pattern of sorts developing. Crazed Muslims plus Innocent Civilians plus Brutal Decapitation equals Old News.

If these sociopathic fundamentalists want to keep the average American's attention, they better start engaging in increasingly more sinister activities against innocents.

Suggestions For Terrorists Who Read BlogCritics

- Next time, try kidnapping a woman, and gang-raping her before beheading her. Or maybe after beheading her. Whatever floats your boat.

- After that, move on to some children. Nothing captures the attention of America quite like a headless preteen. (Hey, it worked for Adam Walsh's dad!)

- When you tire of butchering sobbing toddlers, your next goal should be videotaped cannibalism. (Anti-American news outlets like Al-Jazeera and CBS will likely play this in an endless loop for days!)

Any suggestions beyond this? Perhaps covering a mentally-challenged girl with honey and fire ants? Maybe running a live Jew through one of those Electric Conveyor Ovens from Papa John's on Holocaust Remembrance Day?

Just how low will these fucking savages go?

I visualize these animals going the "head in dry ice-Fedexed- to White House Gate #3 scenario."

Geez. This is one of my most inflammatory posts of all-time, and I get only one comment on it?

    Sigh...

I'll have to try harder next time... :-/

I didn't really think of it as inflammatory. Just sounded frustrated and furious, I guess.

Deapitations becoming old news? Possible, I guess. We always seem to become desensitized over time. Decapitation is pretty damn horrific, but I guess the desensitizatin could happen, in which case the terrorists would have to up the ante.

    Sick.

True, bhw. I am furious and disgusted by the actions of the terrorists.

But I just thought this post would receive more of a reaction from BC, due to its vile subject.

    Oh, well... :-/

Maybe we're already desensitized. But I hope not.

I hate to say it, but I think that no matter how atrocious the terrorists are, a certain percentage of the media and society will ignore it unless they can somehow blame America for it. 3 beheading in the space of a month, and the apologists are still blaming all but the terrorists, and the media downplays it or ignores it, terming it "too provocative" for the news.

If the Americans give up fighting this war, it will not be because they lost heart, its because they were not kept aware of the real threats out there. less than 3 years after 9/11 and most Americans have moved on. My opinion is less informed, here in Baghdad it is somnewhat surreal to go out on patrols and see the reality of Iraq both good and bad, and then come back to the base and see "Entertainment Tonight" or somesuch program and realize that more Americans seem to be wrapped up in celebrity scandal than the real world threats which could make MAry-KAte's eating disorder or the former Pres's book tour so insignificant.

It's been covered on the news, Ski. Top story on CNN when all three men were killed. I read an article yesterday on CNN about the similarities between Berg's and the Korean man's cases, as well as the reactions in South Korea, etc.

The news is covering it. But yes, you're right about the "Entertainment Tonight" factor, it's still there and strong as ever. But Iraq is covered every day, too.

It is interesting that we in Baghdad often have less of an idea of how the rest of the world is viewing this war than anyone else does. Not to say we don't know what is going on, we get a lot of facts and analysis regarding events, but little public opinion.

TV is somewhat limited here. I am glad that Internet is pretty reliable, I prefer it for news anyway.

I gather beheading is a fairly common punishment meted out by the Saudi government, so those terrorists weren't the least bit imaginative in the first place.
