The Manitoba Bigfoot Video - An Exclusive Interview With Bobby Clarke.

On April 26,05, CJ1240 Radio (of The Arctic Radio Network) Morning Man, Rob Schiltroth, managed to get the interview no one else could...An interview with Bigfoot videographer Bobby Clarke. At the time of this interview, Mr.Clarke had yet to sign the deal with A Current Affair to air the footage. To my knowledge, this is the only on air interview Clarke has given, other than the ACA broadcast.

On April 16,05, Mr.Clarke videotaped what he described as a dark, bipedal figure which looked too large to be a man. Hopes ran high that this video would finally offer definitive proof of the existence of Bigfoot. However, this was not the case. Since being aired on A Current Affair, the video seems to have raised more question, than answers, and Mr.Clarke`s credibility has been called into question.

In this interview, Mr.Clarke doesn`t strike me as someone who has just hoaxed a sighting. Clarke readily admits the footage is blurry, and that although he felt sure that what he`d witnessed was a Bigfoot, (and not the first he`s seen) his priority at the time was to get some kind of outside confirmation before deciding whether or not to go public with it. He does not portray the video as conclusive evidence, nor does he seem to be trying to "hype" the footage.

The following day, it was announced that A Current Affair had bought the rights to air the video. Strangely, Mr.Clarke doesn`t seem to be aware of any financial offers at the time of the interview. It is possible that he didn`t know anything about it at the time. In an ongoing Blogcritics discussion on the Clarke sighting, fellow  Norway House residents of Bobby Clarke`s have claimed that it was in fact a member of the council who had both pursued, and negotiated a financial deal for the video, not Clarke himself.

If this should be the case, it is important to note. Bobby Clarke`s reputation, and credibility have been seriously questioned due to the handling of his video. If this sighting, and video are to be dismissed, it should be due to the conclusions of a comprehensive investigation, rather than the assumption, and hearsay that has resulted from the ACA `s on going fiasco...I`ve been reminded NOT to read this book by it`s cover.

Many thanks to Rob, and CJ1240 for supplying the audio clip.

Thank you for keeping us updated on this, Sharness. You're setting a lot of things straight.

Don't let the sceptics get you down. I haven't seen a good argument from one yet. They're only revealing their own lack of information and close-minded attitudes.

I saw the Cree name for Sasquatches posted somewhere but now I can't find it. Do you know what it is?

    Thanks, Lu
