MacWorld is reporting that teenage girls are leading the charge into the digital music environment.

Girls are also more likely to use the Web to listen to streamed song samples and watch music videos, and they're twice as likely as boys to research concert and tour information online. The only online music activities that boys are more apt to participate in than girls are downloading music and burning CDs.
I have commented to Rich many times that the key to be being successful as a DC bar band is to play "chick-friendly rock." Looks like that approach might just be the right way to go online as well.
