Sprint's preparing to make its television on the go options a bit more high tech.
The company's new Palm Treo 700p phone is meant for mobile phone users who want it all – literally. Sprint plans to have the new 700p available by the end of the month at its stores and online. The cost is anticipated to fall in at $400 for those who sign on for service, too. Others will pay nearly $650 for the nifty gizmo that does everything but the dishes.
The new Treo model includes support for Sprint TV, which includes more than 50 channels and has even won an Emmy. Although I still don't understand the draw of watching TV on a screen as small the screens found on a mobile phone, the model looks pretty darn impressive.
Its other features include:
- Sprint Mobile Broadband Service support
- On Demand support for news, weather, movies and more
- Spring PSC Picture Mail, Messaging, Games, Ringers and more
- E-mail and Web service
- Bluetooth technology
- Built in MP3 player
- 1.3 megapixel camera with video, too
- 128 MB Memory
The phone is also designed to offer use as a modem, has a speakerphone and more.
