Crossover Mac runs a myriad of other programs as well, including other games and well as many other "serious" programs as well. I understand that its quite useful to have this program if you do websites and don't have access to a PC. You can run IE on Crossover and check out how things work in that program.
The Crossover site has forums which can help you determine if the program you want or need to run works with the program yet and how well it does. There are people continually trying out new things to see if they work with the program. I will be trying to see if I can get Hellgate:London running on it. Needless to say some of the high-end programs and games are probably not going to run on Crossover.
Crossover Mac is the program for you if you think Bootcamp is just a bit too technical for your tastes. Well done to Codeweavers for finally developing an easy solution to running PC programs on the Mac.
Colour me impressed and I am sure the guys are hard at work on making this piece of kit even better. They do a Linux version as well.

I also use CrossOver, and I am extremely satisfied with the application. While not as popular as its competitors, I found it to be the easiest and best solution for Team Fortress 2. I play it every day on my MacBook Pro, and it ROCKS!! For work, I use it for Office applications and IE daily with the same success. If you're looking, I'd buy CrossOver Mac first. You'll be as surprised as Marty!

Hey, i use crossover for my new Imac and it runs counter strike source perfectly. i have heard it is better to download steam directly from crossover, rather than from your disc. Happy hunting!

It needs Intel Macs to work - it uses WINE as a virtual machine to run Windows stuff. To do it on PPC architecture would be emulation, which WINE isn't (Wine Is Not an Emulator).

Im looking into purchasing CrossOver, and your review was helpful, but one minor flaw was that the Orange Box consists of Team Fortress 2, not Counterstrike 2.
