Say it ain't so, Tommy!

These people are even dumber than the narcs in their movies.

From the AP:

Tommy Chong, who played one half of the dope-smoking duo in Cheech and Chong movies, pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday to conspiring to sell drug paraphernalia.

Chong also pleaded guilty on behalf of his business, Nice Dreams Enterprises, which made a line of marijuana bongs and pipes. Doing business as Chong Glass, Nice Dreams Enterprises sold glass pipes and bongs that Chong acknowledged were used to smoke marijuana.

They're literally making a federal case out of Tommy Chong's glass pipes. Mr. Chong faces up to three years in prison for selling pipes. Seriously.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: federal law enforcement has way too much money and power. The DEA in particular should just be shut down tomorrow.

Next I suppose they'll have Nick and Norm doing an ad explaining how you're really supporting terrorism if you buy a Chong bong.

ever get into one of those circular arguments about the 'legality' of drugs?

    "why not?"

    "because pot's illegal"

"what about alcohol? that's a drug."

    "but it's legal".

oi! and the downward spiral from there.
