Revenge of the Remixers

We mentioned last week Madonna's attempt to thwart file sharing of songs from her forthcoming American Life album (out tomorrow) by placing "dummy" song files in P2P networks like Kazaa. The files are the same length as the songs being "spoofed" but are blank other than the charming 44 year-old mother saying "What the fuck do you think you're doing?"

Inevitably, this fateful line has now been sampled into a variety of new digital music creations, several of which are found here. We will be featuring John von Seggern's Digital Cut-Up Lounge in an upcoming episode of Radio Free Blogcritics, where the munificent Shannon Campbell now resides.
