Parallels, a company known for virtualization and OS compatibility, recently launched a mobile app on iTunes for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch that allows users of Parallels Desktop 6 for Mac to access and work with their Windows programs running on a Mac, needing nothing more than network connectivity. The app is a complementary addition to users running Parallels Desktop 6 on the machine they want to connect to, and can be downloaded from the iTunes store.
In addition to working with Windows apps, the software bridges some current shortcomings with Apple mobile products, namely printing, viewing Flash-based Web sites and full use of productivity applications like Outlook. First with Parallels Desktop, users are able to run Windows programs side-by-side with Mac applications, and now they can work with both systems from anywhere 3G or wi-fi is available.
Parallels also recently released software to ease the transition from earlier versions of Windows to Windows 7 called Parallels Desktop Upgrade to Windows 7. Having done that, if you want to then migrate to a Mac from there, they have a program for that, too, called Switch to Mac. See where this is going? Upgrade your old, move it to a Mac, then play with it on your phone from anywhere. Productivity never had it so good.

In theory this would probably be fantastic(though I wonder what companies are giving their outside sales reps an iPad? - Not to cost efficient).Anyways, Did you check out theVIDEO on Parallels' blog? It already shows some serious lag when he is trying to use Outlook by itself. Imagine when those sales reps try to run several million things at once like they try to do in the office? *Ugh*... I'd hate to be in that IT department.
