NVIDIA and the Art of the Viral Video

Viral VideoNVIDIA, a leader in visual computing technologies, took the stage at this week's BlogWell Conference, in San Francisco and shared their successes and failures in video making. The company launched two videos; one was a success, the other a failure. They learned a lot in the process and were able to understand the elements that make for a successful video campaign.

NVIDIA's tips to video making:

  1. Make a good video, that's not about marketing
  2. Make your message easy to understand, and make it short--at 1:30 is when people typically start to click away.
  3. Keep your topic focused. If you have more than one video, make sure that they are different enough to warrant separate outreach plans.
  4. Plan early and coordinate your video launch as a multi-team effort.
