Moby isn't digging the RIAA lawsuit campaign:
- so apparently the riaa are suing one of our very own moby.com board members, liquidlevel, for file-sharing.
personally i just can't see any good in coming from punishing people for being music fans and making the effort to hear new music.
i'm almost tempted to go onto kazaa and download some of my own music, just to see if the riaa would sue me for having mp3's of my own songs on my hard-drive.

That would make for a very interesting test case on ownership rights, fair use, and just plain absurdity. Moby is cool.

Haven't listened to any of Moby's music, but I saw this comment on another blog earlier today, and added the comment to my blog because I like his attitude on the subject.

Have you heard his version of "That's when I reach for my revolver?" Not bad, but it is my opinion that if he had ingested more protein (be it of the animal variety or otherwise) it would have provided the necessary "oomph" that this song so greatly needs and deserves.

The reason Moby's fans are being prosecuted is because Moby made a deal with an RIAA member company to distribute his music. If Moby cares, he should explore alternative distribution methods.
As an artist, there is a liability/stigma when using the old distribution machine (RIAA). It's just uncool now.
