Minesweeper

Okay, I'm a dork. I admit it. I play "Minesweeper" while I wait for video and/or audio files to download on my pathetic dial-up.

Anyway, my "best scores" are pretty damn good, I must say:

- Beginner: 10 seconds

- Intermediate: 142 seconds

- Expert: 499 seconds

Now, I'm sure I could beat any one of those scores if I really tried my hardest. But I haven't. Yet.

What are the best scores YOU have achieved? Please let me know, so that I may have a goal the next time Mr. Barger sends me a multi-meg link... ;)

The trick for the higher levels is to go for all four corners right off and then a couple random places in the middle to open up the board a little.

Gives a good jump on it, and if you die not much time is lost.

Well, this is too scary. I completely suck at this game. I tried it, and I could look at that little box for two days and still hit one of those things before I've cleared the area...I guess I need a tutor! (Good thing I'm not the driver of one for real...lol)

    Good topic, RJ.

I don't remember my scores, but I was pretty kick-ass at it too during college when I'd get bored writing a paper.

Some of you are way scary good, though, better than I was.

Expert was hard because it became a guessing game at a certain point when you had only so many mines left.

    That is all.

been playing around a year... 3, 26, 74, as of now... a couple seconds off the high score charts - you have to have a combined score under 100 seconds. in a couple months, check them... you might see a Jeff Wu from the United States... cut off 4 seconds and im there...

Yeah, that is my really sad dream too, mine are no where near that yet, although I have just reached a milestone in that i've finally got under 100 for expert.
    My scores are 4 - 29 - 96
John (still need to cut off 30 secs, but really not that bad)
