If Microsoft would make a standards compliant browser, it would make my life as a web designer much easier. I could go on and on about this point. But plain and simple: If Internet Explorer adhered to web standards, I could focus on making better web sites faster and not spending at least half my time fine tuning for IE.

Join the boycott of Dell and HP.
Dell and HP are refusing to offer CONSUMERS an alternative to Microsoft.
Do not buy any products from Dell and HP
until they offer consumers a choice.

I fail to see your point about boycotting Dell or HP. I am a Mac user but have found Dell and HP hardware great.
Whatever happened to downloading an alternative browser when you download all the other stuff you want to personalize your computer?
Dell and HP have deals with MS to put Windows on their computers. This does not stop me from buying a Dell and installing Firefox.
