One of my most interesting trips to Vegas involved happening upon a last-minute special appearance by Tiësto, formally "DJ" Tiësto. While I'm not the world's biggest fan of electronic dance music, to hear the three-time "World's No. 1 DJ" spin was extremely worth the 4 a.m. walk back to the hotel.
Luckily for me, Tapulous' latest creation ClubWorld gives me access to Tiësto and fellow DJ David Guetta around the clock and I don't have to pay for entry fee or parking. It's a win, win.
"I'm a huge fan of music games and all genres of music, so I was excited to work with Tapulous on ClubWorld,” said ground-breaking DJ and producer Tiësto. “I love that the game turns the fantasy of having your own club into a reality. There is amazing energy when you bring people together to listen to music and it’s that feeling that really drives me and all that I do.”
The launch of ClubWorld coincides with the availability of tracks from Tiësto’s new album, Club Life, Vol. 1 Las Vegas, which can be heard in his ClubWorld mix.
Tapulous has a long history of providing music and gaming fans an ingenious combination of the two with major hits such as Green Day Revenge. With ClubWorld, Tapulous has embarked on tapping into real-time social tycoon gaming. It's also interesting to note that over the last several months they've been skirting around the freemium model and now with this app, they've jumped straight in.
But does ClubWorld make the cut?
When you launch the app you're presented with an option to play with or without Facebook. I took the rout of no Facebook. From there, you can choose which DJ you'd like to start with. I went with Tiësto for obvious nostalgic reasons.
