Internet TV - What Do We Know About It? - Page 2

Generally, the plug-in needs to use a minimal amount of computer resources in order to obtain a quality picture. If the speed of the Internet connection is unstable or insufficient, you can put the player on pause and wait until the online broadcast will be in cache, after that you can watch its without delay.

What will we have in the future?

Many countries are adopting technology for mobile TV. What you may be watching today on your home TV, you may be able to watch on your pocket PC or by mobile phone. The technology behind mobile TV is almost the same as that of Internet television. Your mobile terminal connects to the base station of a mobile operator, which broadcasts a TV channel through the Internet. This service is certainly not free, because it involves a large amount of data (traffic), and it costs money to the operator. Perhaps, one day this will cost the same as sending an SMS to your friend.
