I'm always on the lookout for new ways to enrich my computing experience. Hardcore surfers like myself will appreciate a neat net trick that I recently discovered. The next time you surf with Internet Explorer, hold down the keyboard 'shift key' and turn your 'mouse scroll wheel' simultaneously (if you have one). Scroll up or down and you will see the web pages you have already visited. It's a lot easier than point and clicking the back and forward buttons.

ctrl+scroll will change the font size in IE.
If you have one of those mices with a forth button, like my Logitech Cordless Mouseman Wheel you can use that one to go back as well. It's rapidly become my standar way of going back, in just the two weeks since I discovered it.

Hey emma, I set mine up to do the same thing, quite handy. I have the other to minimize (since i don't forward much).
Here's one I find handy, which a lot of people already probably know but I'm throwing out anyway. Shift+left click on a link opens it in a new window.

I have programmed my scrollbutton to be double-click. Using a single click that is. Not so handy on the web but great for everything else. I never have to click twice again!

Christian: You could always go into 'My Computer', 'Tools', 'Folder Options' to accomplish the same thing (single-click that is).

I have experimentally determined that both the shift+scroll and the ctrl-scroll tricks also work in Mozilla Firebird 0.6.

Probably my most used windows shortcut is MICROSOFT (key) + E for explorer. I used that all the time for quick navigation. The scroll mouse thing is handy though, thanks! :)

Here's another one. If you are using Netscape or Explorer you can also go back and forward via the keyboard. Just hold down your 'Alt' Key and use the 'Arrow' Keys.
You can also use 'Alt' Key with the 'Home' key to skip back to your homepage in Explorer.
