Fox's A Current Affair "Outs" Bigfoot Video - Comments Page 2

Since film footage of what is said to be a Bigfoot was first reported on April 19,05, skeptics and believers alike have been anxiously  awaiting the opportunity to view the video.

After two weeks of speculation on the video`s validity, those interested will finally be able to judge for themselves. A spokesperson for the syndicated show A Current Affair, has confirmed that they have purchased rights to broadcast the Bigfoot video filmed in Norway House, Manitoba, on two occasions. The first broadcast is set for tomorrow, May 4,05, the second will be a repeat of the same episode.

On April 16,05, ferryman Bobby Clarke noticed a large dark figure on the opposite bank of the Nelson river, where he was working. Grabbing his video camera, which he`d made a habit of bringing with him where ever he went, Mr.Clarke was able to film the figure for almost three minutes. (Other reports claim the video is aprox. 30 seconds long). Original article on the story.

The Bigfoot Field Research Organization director, Matt Moneymaker, has previewed a copy of the original video, and has posted some of his observations on the BFRO website.

"For those of us who have been studying authentic footage and debunking bogus footage for a long time, the full circumstances of this incident point to a credible encounter,"

"The figure in the footage is definitely :

1) Not an illusion created by a play of light and show (i.e. not a "blobsquatch").

2) Not a bear, or any other large, known, native species.

3) Not a composited, fabricated image.

4) A dark, upright, primate figure, with arms and legs somewhat like a human, standing on a riverbank.

5) Either a human or a sasquatch, but among those two candidates it is not clearly one or the other, due to the bluriness of the footage."

Moneymaker states that although there are a few seconds at the beginning where the tape is fairly clear, once Mr.Clarke zooms in, the video becomes blurry. The blurriness, he explains, is probably due to the auto-zoom on the video camera focusing in on some branches in the forefront. For more details visit the BFRO- Manitoba Sighting page.

Franklin Ruehl, a Glendale, California based sasquatch researcher was notably impressed after viewing the video.

"It was an exciting moment. I saw an intriguing entity that certainly appeared to be an ape-like human hybrid," ... "I'm most impressed with this tape. It's one more piece of evidence that these entities exist."The Winnipeg Sun

The story has sparked some interesting, and informative debates on the Bigfoot phenomena.

Unfortunately, because most Canadians don`t have access to the Fox TV channel A Current Affair airs on, those interested in viewing the Clarke video will have to make due with a video clip to be posted on their website the day following the broadcast.

also remember that Sasquatch was briefly a drummer for Tenacious D. However, the 'D' will always be a duo, so they had to send sasquatch packing.

The truth is obvious! Why has nobody else said it yet?

If there ever is a valid Bigfoot sighting, it won't happen in Manitoba.

    It'll happen in Sasquatchewan.

Bigfoot, like Sean Penn, seems to have a knack for getting P.R., and yet he clearly has no desire to be photographed.

Whenever I hear about some recent sighting, or in this case, new video footage, I become a kid again. I get SO excited.

I should know better to believe that definitive evidence of bigfoot would ever be aired on a show like "A Current Affair."

If the footage had been more compelling, it would have made it onto CNN or Fox News. Instead, it gets wedged between a segment on some mass murderer's fiance and a segment on strippers. Go figure - it's the beginning of the May sweeps ratings period.

Still, my fellow believers, do not be dismayed. We know that bigfoot exists -- he's just savvy enough to avoid capture of any kind (literal or figurative).

As a matter of self-preservation, he doesn't stick around to be interviewed, and rightly so, can you just imagine what would happen if these pseudo-news-people actually did find and capture a creature? Can you just imagine how long bigfoot would be able to survive once the media had actual confirmation that these creatures do exist?

It would be the end of the creature or creatures. I, for one, do not want to see anything happen to the creatures.

I`m sorry Jackie, there isn`t one. You`ll have to wait for A Current Affair to air the episode again, and I have no idea when that will be.

Bigfoot's existence is safe. How is it so many camera buffon's hunt, walk or ferry near the woods? If that was Pamela Anderson as the subject on the other end of the lens, the video or still shot wouldn't be jumpy or fuzzy. I dare say that it would meet stringent commercial grade quality photo or video standards. All of these hunter's, campers and nature lovers who profess to be at "one" with the woods seem to lose their composure when needing to hold still and focus for just a few seconds and make history. 3 minutes of bad video? They should leave the cameras at home until they take a photo class. Again, Bigfoot is safe.

bigfoot, real or fake? well, personatly i think you can see bigfoot if u truthly belive it is real. I think if your mind is set on seeing this bigfoot your mind will create it, so you truthly will see it. Like some scientist say there is no real proof it is out there. I don't know what to belive.... i think if one comes in my house and sleeps in my bed when i come home from school. Then yes i will belive there is one... but untill that day comes i will think there is one but i haven't seen it

A Current Affair isn't going to offer any proof either way. They are into sensationalizing any topic they can get their hands on. Should someone ever come up with a clean clear up close video, you'll still find skeptics and that's just fine. I beleive there's something out there and I'd love to see one. If I captured it on film, I'd share it with everyone, no charge.
