Blogcritics.org on SUBJECT2DISCUSSION

Part of: Blogcritics.org on Subject2Discussion

Blogcritics.org has partnered with Shaun OMac Daily's popular weekly web radio show SUBJECT2DISCUSSION, which airs Tuesday nights at 7 pm PT, 10 pm ET on the LV Rocks site, for a weekly pop culture report on the show from 8-8:30 PT.

Shaun was kind enough to announce to the world, "Having the outstanding Blogcritics.org as a regular contributor to the program is very flattering indeed, the listeners now have a complete magazine radio show thanks to Blogcritics.org."

We are equally flattered to have been asked, Shaun, thanks!

I presented last night's inaugural segment and had a jolly time chatting with Shaun about the '06 Rock Hall inductees, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire film, and Michael Jackson's latest disasters.

For those who miss the program live, the show is available via podcast. If you have an iPOD this is the iPOD RSS URL. For those sans iPOD, the podcast is can be accessed from this page.

Last night's show specifically is here.

The SUBJECT2DISCUSSION format is now:

7-7:30 PT - "News to You," Shaun discusses news items that listeners send in as well as the big news of the day and week

7:30-8:00 PT is "Political Discussion" time with Justin from the Donklephant centrist political blog

8-8:30 is Pop Culture Discussion with Blogcritics.org

8:30-9:00 is "Science Fiction Buzz" with Judy from ScienceFictionBuzz.com

Join us every Tuesday live or via podcast at your convenience!

Well I think that would be unfair to the whole show..we never heard that show before but after hearing the whole, thing we are going back and listening to them all.

We will be listening every week.

It would be unfair to me, who doesn't have two hours to listen to a show but would like to hear the Blogcritics segment.

it's actually a very good question Matt - I know some podcasts are segmented and others not. Did you get it via iPod feed or the direct link?

I think all podcasts should be broken up by at least the half-hour for the reason you state.

And thanks for the kind words J/S

I took the direct link, that m3u file which loaded in Winamp. Scrolling the playbar did nothing, it just snapped back.

it appears it's all or nothing - I will ask him about it. I agree a two-hour bloc is daunting

I am eager to get involved in this activuty, EO. Sounds very cool.

Suss & Co., let's take it easy on insufferable podcasters who run their yap well past the hour mark. It's hitting a little close to home. ;)

At least MP3s can be fast forwarded.

And I, too, being a "sports" "person" may be inclined to get in on this radio action at some point in the future.

can't you access it as an MP3?

Now that you mentioned it, I just opened the m3u file in BBEdit which points to a static mp3 file, so I'll try to download that tonight.

I thought it was a streaming file.

If anyone else wants the direct mp3 it's here.

Thanks to Eric for being on the inaugeral edition of the Pop Culture segment to the program.

I felt it went great!!! Being a news junkie, I was rather lost with the RnRHoF bit but still it was very informative.

Looking forward to this Tuesday, with whoever Eric has to the report. I feel having bloggers on and specifically bloggers from Blogcritics on the program, it gives people a voice behind the blog. And with listeners from all over the world, some listen to hear the news to you segment with news items listeners send in, others tune in to listen to the political discussion, now more can listen to the Pop Culutre Discussion and lastly even others listen to the Science Fiction Discussion at the end of the program.

Thank you all for the kind emails and support for having added Blogcritics to the program.

    Shaun
