Blog Review: The Bastards of the Blogs

Irreverent and cute, it's hard to resist getting sucked in by The Bastards of the Blogs, and it's tempting to collect all seven Bastards, or however many Bastards the Bastards select as blogging bastards. The question remains, though, out of the current seven Bastards, which Bastard is the biggest Bastard of them all?

Just days ago the Bastards introduced their seventh Bastard.

Arianna Is she a liberal or a conservative? Neither! She's a Bastard, you bastards! While Arianna Huffington is surely an attractive addition to the blogging Bastards, she is certainly not the biggest Bastard of them all. Stay tuned; they're releasing the back of her card today sometime.

Adam Adam Curry, famous for big hair and his MTV VJ days and known to some as The Podfather, is certainly a fitting addition to the Bastards, but he is not the biggest Bastard of them all, unless you're giving him additional points for his big hair.

Microsoft geek-blogger Robert Scoble's Bastard card says, "It's all about RSS, and tablet PCs, and Microsoft, and great software, unless I don't agree with you..."

Scoble's blog is so widely read that being geek has become more pimp than the latest Snoop album. Definitely too cool to be the biggest Bastard of them all. Besides, would the biggest Bastard ever surf on a rainbow-colored shell? I think not.

Kos, of The Daily Kos, is definitely a Bastard. The quote on his card says it all. "We're in it for the money, er, because we want to change how politics works for the liberal fringe elements..."

What a Bastard! While I am truly a conservative, I do have some liberal friends, and no liberal I know, who is a true liberal, of course, does anything for the money. Only a liberal Bastard would blog for the money! Kos could easily be the biggest Bastard of them all, if not, at least, in the top three biggest Bastards of them all.

Where does a self-important but wholly incredibily delusional real estate agent fit in there?

Actually, since you're not on there can I assume that Google illegally changed their algorithms on you?

That's funny. Hahahahahaha. You're a very funny man, ryan. You should be a comedian.

I thought the site was intriguing, so I wrote about it.

Very true, but they shouldn't be granted internet access.

The simple answer is under greedy bastard, but not high enough to rate the top ten

To be named a blogging bastard of any sort would be an honor.

A quote that Stalin or any other communist would certainly be proud of.

    Are you for real?

It's like you're a straw man for everything wrong with the internet.

Like I was really suggesting we amend the Constitution to rid you of web access. Every time you post you dig yourself a deeper hole.

ryan, this post will bring more traffic to Blogcritics, from which we all will benefit, including you. There's nothing wrong with bringing more traffic to Blogcritics or contributors' sites.

That being said, you really have no reason to flame me on the posts I write, or complain about what I write about.

If you wish to disagree with what I write on an intellectual basis, that is fine, however, your methods and the content of your comments bare no intellectual basis at all.

Therefore, your opinion is worthless to me. Share it with someone who cares.

The Internet is a living entity and changes constantly. The beauty of it is that there is no dictator forcing it to go in any direction, therefore it is free to go where the masses desire.

How would I go about intellectually disagreeing with that post? He just recapped the results OF SOMEONE ELSE'S WORK.

And how in God's name is your post going to bring more traffic to BlogCritics? Did you email your friends in Congress or something?

Whatever you think about Mr. RE, this post is far more interesting and generally valuable than his postings on how great he's doing in the Florida real estate price boom.

That's typically what reviews are, ryan. They recap the work and rate it. That's what I did with this post.

You may have noticed, or not, how Blogcritics and The Bastards of the Blogs are both heavily cross-linked to other blogs. This will bring both sites higher PR and traffic.

The most successful ones are. Look at Donald Trump. He is certainly not camera shy, and he is one of the most successful broker/developers in the world.

If people don't know who you are, you don't get any business, but you may be an assistant for an agent everyone knows and gets a ton of business. 10% of the agents do 90% of the business, and the ones who are more well known do the most business. I had to create a team to take care of all my clients, because I had so many that I couldn't handle them all.

Nevermind, I was wrong. I scrolled back up to notice that your article had been pinged a whopping ZERO TIMES. Talk about cross traffic. Blogcritics and Bastards might be linked, but guess who isn't? YOU.

And if Donal Trump is the man you're emulating, congrats, you nailed it [Edited]

And no, not all real estate agents are self-important.

The Bastards are adding a link to this post to their "What people are saying" page, so Blogcritics will be linked, and I am linked via this post.

I often write posts on Blogcritics to help it get linked to elsewhere or get it in the news. I simply benefit by writing the post. Of course, everyone here has similar benefits.

And no, not all real estate agents are self-important.

Top-producing agents who don't constantly promote him or herself typically only exist in one's imagination. It's all about promotion. My PR actually goes up every time you flame me, otherwise I'd never even bother to respond.

I say we have a Blogcritics contest where the main prize is a salaried editing position with a geisha girl of the winner's choice.
