America has spoken - strangely

Here is something interesting. according to MSNBC, using two of their own numbers fresh from tonight - Bush is ahead in the polls.

Who would you vote for? 359072 responses

George W. Bush 55%

John Kerry 44%

however, these same geniuses agree Kerry won this debate. Let's take a look at the poll above and below. They are both real time polls from MSNBC. What can we learn about the electorate from them? These people are, in effect, saying 'I know my guy doesn't necessarily tell the truth and probably isn't the smartest guy in the room either. My guy isn't very quick on his feet. He does not handle conflict situations well. When confronted with issues, my nominee avoids the issue and changes the subject. That is what I look for in a leader! He is my guy and he should stay president!'

Who won the debate? 690547 responses

George W. Bush 28%

John Kerry 72%

    Online polls don't mean anything.

As a friend of mine says:
the American electorate finally got the president they deserve...somebody just as ignorant as they are and twice as proud of it...

    Winston,

Well said. I truly fear we are going to get the president we deserve. I mean, if they elect Bush (not re-elected... he wasn't elected. he was appointed) I get to say "told you so" for the next four years. However, I'd rather America be a better place with a stronger, smarter, and more compassionate leader.

Hitler was a great speaker too. That didn't make his ideas any more right.

When I was in the Navy I taught a 17 week electronics maintenance class. In the 4 years I did this the dumbest student I had was the one with the most education. One student I had in one of my 17 week courses had a computer programming degree from GT. The problem was, he did not have a lick of common sense. He could make himself SOUND smart, but he really was an idiot.
I hate to tell you this, but he sounds just like your boy, john fonda kerry!

A CNN/USA Today poll taken immediately after the debate scored it Kerry 52%, Bush 39%.

    Bush is on the run.

W, you can run but you can't hide.

When in doubt, compare your opponent to Hitler.

    Hal:

Bush is still either ahead or tied in all tracking polls. And he has the Big Mo! ;)

Oh, and he's ahead again in Ohio. And he's only one point down in PA...

So, it was agreed by all that Bush was an inferior candidate and half wit to boot. Yet, dude got elected. I worry about Democracy people. I truly worry for the fate of a nation that voted for GW Bush twice.

You knew he was incompetent, you knew he botched the war, you knew we have major image problems with all our allies, you knew we were now spread to thin to even defend ourselves, you knew he lied about the war, you knew all the top Republicans were or would be indicted any day now...

and this is still the guy you chose. What a waste of freedom.
