There are a couple of ways to have these forms in GB. The easiest way is to import or print blank forms into GoBinder and fill them out. I prefer to create custom paper types, which isn't easy yet, but it looks better for forms with tables (the last time I checked, the note-taking apps had problems with tables displaying as desired). I grab a screenshot of the desired document to use as a background image, then copy and modify another paper type, which is defined in an xml file located in the GoBinder program folder. Switching to another paper type is quick and easy.

So that's enough on GoBinder for now, but you should see it mentioned again, when I discuss my efforts to go paperless.

If this is your first post on blogcritics, then how can you have mentioned it earlier. When posting on bc, please try to contexualize yr post.
Otherwise, nice post - welcome

Thanks for coming by, and thanks for the comments and the welcome!
The link takes one to the earlier blog entry in question; it was posted months ago, just not on blogcritics. I was taking the easy route and using the suggestion in the submission email to paste from a favorite blog entry. I debated removing the first paragraph altogether; looks like I should have. Ah, well, it's a learning experience.

Great write up. I now see WHY GoBinder is better than OneNote: the amount of organization you can do and the ease of importing documents to work on.

Having never used OneNote, I can't say either way. From what I've read, there are things ON does that GB can't, and there are things that GB does better. GoBinder 2006 is currently in Beta; I look forward to seeing what Agilix will do to make it better.
For those who might not have heard, a lite version of GoBinder is provided free in Microsoft's recently-released Education Pack for TabletPC.

Great add.
I am a ON user since the beginning. Recently I've tried the lite version of Gobinder coming with MS education pack. After a week I've purchased the full version.
I'm still using ON for note taking because I'm used to the UI, but for the calendar, task and contact Gobinder is great. The Syllabus features is very usefull to follow up specific activities, (used as Goals in the Franklin Covey Tablet planner).
The "lack" I can notice is that there is no mobilization with other SW than Outlook.
We are using Thunderbird and Lotus Notes in my Cie to comply with our IMAP server, and Outlook is not allowed.
