A while back, I was introduced to Sarah Solovay, a pop singer who was trying to make it big. I found her music refreshing, because the pop scene was (and is) currently dominated by Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers, both of which got really old and really annoying fast.

Her lyrics had soul, which quickly reminded me of one of my favorite country singers, Taylor Swift. In fact, Sarah Solovay won Young Songwriter award for her song “Gone.” But that’s not the song Sarah’s getting attention for.

Sarah’s song, “Hearts Collide” was recently selected to be apart of the 90210 soundtrack. 90210, which is a remake of the original 90210, airs Tuesday nights on the CW. You can listen to “Hearts Collide” on her MySpace page. It’s pretty good! I like it. All the songs will air in this season of 90210.

Sarah wrote on her blog, “I keep pinching myself… this is so incredibly surreal … This soundtrack is by far the hugest thing I've ever been a part of, and I am so incredibly honored.” She blogs a lot, so if you are on MySpace, make sure you're friends with her. She’s also on Youtube, Facebook and Twitter. You can also find an interview with her from April on blogtalk radio.

The complete song list on the soundtrack is:
1. Adele with The Raconteurs, “Many Shades of Black”
2. N.E.R.D. featuring Santigold, “Soldier”
3. JET, “One Hipster One Bullit”
4. Mute Math, “Valium”
5. OK Go, “I Want You So Bad”

6. The All-American Rejects, “Sierra’s Song”
7. Anberlin, “A Perfect Tourniquet”
8. Owl City, “Sunburn”
9. Will Dailey, “You’re So Cold”
10. The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, “Love Seat”
11. Parachute, “One Small Step”
12. Sarah Solovay, “Hearts Collide”
13. Darrelle London, “Understood”
14. Stars Crashing Cars, “City Girl”
15. John E. Davis, “90210 Main Title (2009 Remix)”

The soundtrack comes out October 13th, but you can preorder it on Amazon now.
