Back to old fashioned hip hop territory – murder allegations and prison
Rapper C-Murder has been granted a new trial to appeal against his conviction of second-degree murder. The rapper, real name Corey Miller, was last Sep found guilty of shooting a fan back in 2002. However his legal people claim some of the key witnesses in that trial had criminal records and were told they would get special consideration in their own cases in exchange for testimony against C-Murder. The prosecution deny any knowledge of such tactics, but Louisiana State District Judge Martha Sassone yesterday said she would allow another court hearing to properly discuss those claims and review the murder allegations.
