The two most famous Queen Elizabeths in history have both sat on the same throne – that of England. The first, the Tudor daughter of Henry VIII, ruled England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland (and she claimed France).
Elizabeth II took the same throne, which by this time also made her head of state of Australia, Canada, and assorted other Commonwealth states, as well as what is now the United Kingdom.
Bloggers today are mostly talking about the second Queen Elizabeth, whether their interest be geneology, impersonators, or her modern political role.
Those interested in the older queen may be looking at books about her reign, or following her footsteps.
